FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 15, 2009 OTC Elite Concludes Successful Weekend At Husky Classic Seattle, Washington – in preparation for the USA Indoor Championships at the end of February, the Oregon Track Club Elite concluded another successful weekend of racing. With athletes in Seattle, Washington and Fayettville, Arkansas, the team was well represented again on a national stage. In Arkansas, Nick Symmonds continued his winning ways by edging out Khadevis Robinson in the 800 meters with a 1:47.72 to 1:47.76, respectively, while teammate Matt Scherer finshed eighth In a time of 1:51.30. In Seattle, OTC was led by Kevin Hicks in the 800 meters. While Hicks finished 3rd overall in a time of 1:48.21, he was followed in the overall standings by OTC Elite newcomer Mark Wieczorek, who tied for 4th in a time of 1:48.27. Brandon Shaw opened his season with an impressive 7th place finish in 1:48.74. All three athletes ran USA Indoor qualifying times. In the Men's Mile, Don Sage finished strong in 4:03.10 to round out the top 15. Contact: More news |
