Fresh off impressive performances at the AT&T USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston, OTC Elite members Nick Symmonds and Nicole Teter will take on the world at the IAAF World Indoor Championships. The Championships are being held at the Palau Velódromo Luis Puig in Valencia, Spain from March 7th-9th.
Nick Symmonds (watch video interview after his race) the 2007 US Indoor 800 meter champion, qualified for the World Championships with his second place performance in Boston on February 24th. In only his second meet of the season, Symmonds ran an indoor personal best time of 1:46.96. Headed into the Championships, Symmonds is ranked as the ninth fastest 800 meter runner in the world in 2008.
In the women’s 800, newly crowned 2008 US Indoor 800 meter champion Nicole Teter (watch video interview after her win) will be representing OTC Elite in Valencia. Teter, a 2004 Olympian, will be making her first Indoor World Championship team. She will be looking to continue the fine form that carried her to the US title.
