OTC Elite Set To Challenge American Best In Distance Medley Relay
Eugene, Oregon – The Oregon Track Club Elite has plans to challenge the American Record Distance Medley Relay at the Husky Classic in Seattle on Friday, February 12th in Seattle. The American Best time of 9:25.77 was set by Texas at the 2008 NCAA Championships. OTC Elite will line up Nick Symmonds, who was a 2008 Olympian and also ranked top 10 in the world in the 800 meters in 2009; joining Symmonds on the relay will be Matt Scherer, Tyler Mulder and Will Leer, who is fresh off his personal best of 3:55.66 in the Mile.
Joining their OTC teammates in Seattle will Mark Wieczorek and John Jefferson in the Men’s 800, Stephen Pifer, Ben True, Kevin Chelimo and Shadrack Biwott in the Men’s 3,000 meters.
