Bruce And Nelson To Race USATF Cross Country Championships

Eugene, Oregon – Oregon Track Club Elite’s Ben Bruce and Billy Nelson will travel to Spokane, Washingtonth to challenge for spots on the US National  12k Cross Country team, which will compete at the IAAF World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on March 28th. on February 13

Bruce, who is coming off of an indoor personal best of 8:10.14 in the 3,000 meters at the New Mexico Invitational on January 30th, will make his 2010 Cross Country debut in Spokane.  Bruce was 19th in the 2009 USATF XC Championships.

Nelson who opened his 2010 season with a win in the 5,000 meters at the Washington Invitational on January 29th in 14:00.93, will also be making his 2010 Cross Country debut in Spokane.  Nelson, who was a 2008 Olympian in the Steeplechase, previously represented the USA at the World Junior Cross Country Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2002.
