Vincent Ciattei, representing Nike Oregon Track Club Elite, won his first national title in 4:03.20 at the USATF 1 Mile Road Championships presented by Toyota as part of the Grand Blue Mile presented by Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Des Moines, Iowa. Ciattei, 27, surged to the front in the final 200 meters to secure his second career road mile victory, along with the Fleet Feet Liberty Mile in July in Pittsburgh, where he clocked 3:58.39.
