OTC To Compete At The Oregon Twilight

Eugene, Oregon – Coming off a weekend of great performances at both the Oregon Relays and the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational, the Oregon Track Club Elite is looking to compete well at the annual Oregon Twilight.  The Twilight meet will take place at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus Saturday, May 8^th starting at 5:00pm.

Expected OTC Elite entries for the Twilight meet include 2008 800 meter Olympian Christian Smith in his signature event.  Also in the 800 will be Elias Koech and Stephen Pifer.  In the men’s Mile Russell Brown is set to open his season.  Competing in the men’s 5,000 meters will be 2008 Olympian Ian Dobson.  He will be joined by teammates Kevin Chelimo and Ben True.  It hasn’t been decided whether Ben Bruce and 2008 Olympian Billy Nelson will run the Steeplechase or the 5,000 meters, but the two OTC teammates will definitely be in action.
