Olympian Devon Allen is Officially a Nike AthletePublished by
Former University of Oregon star announces he's signed with NikeBy Scott Bush, DyeStat Editor At TrackTown Tuesday, Olympian Devon Allen broke the news that he is officially a Nike-sponsored athlete. Few in attendance were surprised, since the vast majority of Oregon athletes that turn pro do indeed sign with Nike, but it's always a story when one of the top young athletes in the sport signs their first professional contract. Allen, who is continuing to pursue his degree while staying put in Eugene, spoke to the crowd for some time Tuesday evening, reviewing his 2016 season, turning pro and what lies ahead for his 2017 campaign. Allen is a two-time U.S. 110-meter hurdle champion and at age 22 is poised to become one of the leading faces of the sport for Team USA over the next Olympiad or two. |
