A quiet fall has given the opportunity for many OTC Elite athletes the to focus on training and recover from the wear of the previous season. OTC looks forward to the 2008 campaign with renewed energy after hearing the announcement of the ’09 and ’11 National Championships as well as the 2012 Trials that will all be held at Hayward in the coming years. Upcoming events include the start of the indoor track and field season with athletes heading to the University of Washington (Jan. 19th, Feb 1-2nd, Feb 16th) to take part in their series of high performance indoor meets to earn qualifying marks for the USATF Indoor Championships in Boston, MA on Feb 23-24th. Athletes at this year’s Indoor Championships will be fighting for a chance to be on the US team for the World Indoor Championships in Valencia, Spain. Mixed in with the indoor season will be the culmination of the cross country season in the form of the National Championships which will take place in San Diego, CA, on February 16th and will be an opportunity for athletes to qualify for the World XC Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 30th.
